Things do not always go according to plan. In fact, at times, your life will certainly not go according to your plans. You will experience tragedy—we all do, eventually. How will you respond? How will you endure through hard times?

God is at work in the process even of our sufferings. He brings good out of all these things.

We don’t always see it. In fact, my experience has been that I usually do not see it immediately—I become too blinded by my pain and fears. Sometimes I want to cry out, “Lord, why are you doing this?” It’s OK to cry that. But sometimes we get a glimpse, and one day we will see a fuller picture, of the fact that God has been at work even in our suffering.

I’ll say more about that in this video. I’ll also talk about the circumstances behind Paul’s second letter to the church in Corinth, and I’ll look at the ways in which Paul endured during the hardest times in his life.
