Congratulations to the class of 2013. Here’s a video of my recent commencement address and charge to the graduates of Houston Baptist University. I took the opportunity to deliver some brief thoughts about Ascension Day, which is simultaneously one of the greatest and one of the least often celebrated days on the church calendar. You don’t often hear about Jesus’ ascension from earth to heaven in a commencement address, but I thought it was an important event for us to think about together at this time when so many graduates are beginning a new chapter in their lives.
Jesus is Lord. May we all live our lives in devotion to him, the world’s rightful king.
